![]() Smith and his family reside in Van Alstyne, Texas and are active members of the First Baptist Church of Van Alstyne. ![]() He has coached little league teams and devoted much of his off time with his wife Stephany raising their three children. He has previously served on the board of directors of Big Brother Big Sisters, Friends of Scouting with the Texoma Valley Boy Scouts and The Rehab Center among others. Smith has been active in various local charitable and service organizations. Smith is also a member of the National Rifle Association. From his involvement at Austin College as an officer in the college Republican Club, to his service as a delegate to Republican County and State Party Conventions, he played an important role in the transformation of Grayson County from a Democrat to Republican county. Smith’s involvement in conservative political causes spans more than 2 decades. Smith is licensed to practice law in Texas, and admitted to practice in federal court including the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. In 1994 he earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas. in Political Science from Austin College in Sherman, Texas and was a member of the Pi Gamma Mu Honor Society. Prior to his election, he served as a two-term chairman of the Grayson County Republican Party and the Northern Regional Director of the Texas Republican County Chairman’s Association. ![]() PLLC, a general practice law firm which he established in 2003. Reggie Smith’s experience as a baseball player, coach, and consultant encompasses over 50 years. Smith is the founder and owner of Reginald B. Throughout his time in the legislature, Smith has established himself as an advocate for conservative principles, including protecting the unborn, lowering taxes, safeguarding second amendment rights, promoting individual liberty, and supporting our schools and teachers. He currently serves on the Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence, General Investigating, and Public Health Committees. Smith was elected to serve as the State Representative for District 62 in November of 2018 and went on to serve his district in the Texas House of Representatives during the 20 Legislative Sessions.
